1NB can reveal that her new ring was specially envisioned by Hatton Garden’s Diamonds by Dorgu at a rumored cost of £8000 (N3.6 million).<
The cost may truly be that high as a similar looking ring at a different Hatton Garden based jeweler has a starting price of £2,018 (N900 thousand) based on 0.75ct gold with S12 clarity and a good cut – this is the online price, the high street price is shown to be starting from £3,430 (N1.5 million).
Chioma’s ring, which was customised by Davido with the help of friends, was not only fully covered in gold, but most likely has a higher carat count plus the engraving of the 9 letter word “Assurance”, and the size of the ring which would have been made to fit her finger.
Adding all of these up could easily amount to the rumoured sum.
The man behind Diamond by Dorgu who brought the customisation to life is 31 year old Nigerian Britico Timi Dorgu. Timi was inspired to start to creating bespoke rings for clients after proposing to his then girlfriend-now-wife, Ife with his first ever self-customised ring.
