Africa came to London!!! Africa literally came to London and shut it down!
But there were 2 clear winning performers of the night. Take a guess.
If you guessed one of the Nigerian artists – well then you guessed wrong. On this occasion they were laid back, felt their tunes got it in the bag. But na.
It was the two hip heavyweights, Ghana’s finest exported king – SARKODIE, and straight outta of South Africa – CASSPER NYOVEST.
The event took place on Saturday 13th May, with 21 African artists descending upon London’s Wembley Arena to perform their hit tunes. Wembley sold out its 10,000+ capacity with Tidal sponsoring and streaming to its subscribers.
The 21 stars included host – Banky W, Davido, Tekno, Alikiba, Sarkodie, Cassper Nyovest, Olamide, PSquare, Jidenna, Falz, Banky W, Phyno, Victoria Kimani, Flavour, Tiwa Savage, MI, 9ice,Skales, Emma Nyra, Eugy, Atumpan and Sonoman and DJ sets by Crowd Kontroller (CK), Obi, Spinall and Abrantee.

Shamefully, the event started an hour later than planned mainly due to power cuts. This resulted in Cassper Nyovest, Sarkodie, M.I Abaga, Awilo Longomba, 9ice, Falz, Tekno, Tiwa Savage, Phyno, Olamide, Davido, Flavour and Psquare being hurried off stage while Jidenna completely cut off.
