Reggie Zippy has announced the passing of his mum.
The artist who is half of Ghanaian music duo Reggie’n’Bollie released an official statement on social media today.
It read: “It is with immeasurable grief that we confirm the passing of Reggie’s beloved mother Cecilia Koomson.”
“We thank you for the support and love shown so far and ask for you to keep Reggie and family in your prayers as they privately come to terms with their loss.”
In an earlier post breaking the news, Reggie had heartbreakingly said:
“You don’t know pain until you lose your beloved mother. I am lost, confused and shocked. Ceccy, I am coming to join you wherever you are, this is not what we planned. WE LIVE TOGETHER, WE DIE TOGETHER. Only Mum, Only Son, PERIOD!!. Don’t rest yet cuz I am coming home. GOD MADE A MISTAKE YESTERDAY”
Reggie Zippy and Bollie Babeface are best known for finishing as runners-up on X-factor in 2015, having formed in 2012.
The duo have continued to perform since their appearance on the show, and had been touring before the sudden news.
