The UK is enjoying a long weekend off with today being its bank holiday and so is Nigeria.
Patriotism is jumping off the roof as Nigerians celebrate today’s bank holiday – Democracy Day. The day is observed May 29th annually, to recognise the end of decades of military rule when power was handed over to democratic ex-President Olusegun Obansanjo in 1999.
