The Central Bank of Nigeria (CBN) is withholding new naira notes from its citizens, despite cancelling old Naira notes. How the Nigeria government wants its citizens, particularly the low income people, continues to baffle Nigerians and others across the world.
The claim is that CBN is stopping the new Naira flowing due to the upcoming elections this 25th February 2023. The government is holding money in other to stop bribery of the people that tends to happen around this time. What this has meant is putting struggling and frustrated individuals at high risk.
