Rebecca Ikumelo’s mother showed her pain when she posted another tribute of her beloved daughter who lost her life as a result of a stampede at Nigerian artist Asake’s concert in Brixton Academy.

Fondly known in her Yoruba name as Oluwatosin, the 33 year old died on Saturday 17th of December 2022 after a stampede happened at the concert the Thursday before. She left behind 2 young boys, one of whom is autistic.
Mum, Mrs Yetunde Olodo has been left with an unimaginable scenario, and having to care for Tosin’s children along with their father. A GoFundMe page was opened to contribute to the family’s welfare.

Asake as at the time of hearing the news said on social media: “I am devastated by the news that Rebecca Ikumelo who was in a critical condition since Thursday has sadly passed away.
“Let us please keep her family in our prayers. I have spoken to them and will continue to do so.
“I am overwhelmed with grief and could never have imagined anything like this happening.”
