The simple answer is yes!

However the high commission have introduced measures due to COVID-19 pandemic that caused a backlog of outstanding applications.

It is still possible to apply for your Nigerian passport using the designated online portal but to proceed to capturing your biometrics, the High Commission states that only those who applied and made payments between 2nd January to 30th June can book an appointment.

Appointment bookings now uses a new form as opposed to the date and time slot booking that was used before COVID.

It is unclear when applicants after the stated dates can schedule an appointments, this could potentially become available after some reduction to backlog of applications.

You will not be allowed entry unless you have booked an appointment. Read the NHC new procedure here and determine your eligibility.

If applying for Emergency Travel Certificate, times you can now turn up has changed from the usual daily 9.30am – 1pm to Fridays only between 10am – 2pm.

Passport collections days and times have also changed and now grouped based on time of application which are all detailed in new procedure.
